2025 Chevy Tahoe

No one builds big SUVs like America, and the 2025 Chevy Tahoe is proof of that. There’s little this big guy won’t take on. Family road trips? Easy. Boat to the lake? Hook it up. Half the soccer team and their gear? Toss everyone and everything in because there’s room to spare and power to match.

A Closer Look at the 2025 Chevy Tahoe

Big Changes

All six trims of the Tahoe receive a light styling refresh, new lighting, and a revamped dashboard featuring a now-standard 17.7-inch infotainment display and an 11-inch digital gauge cluster. The V8 engine offerings from last year stick around, but the diesel inline-six gets a bump, now putting out 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. That’s 38 more horses and 35 extra pound-feet, which you’ll definitely feel when you’re towing or climbing up a hill.

Chevy has made the center console more functional, given the steering wheel a fresher look, and even re-tuned the suspension for on-road comfort. On top of that, they’ve packed several new towing aids, like Trailer Tire Health to help prevent blowouts, load rating info right in the app, and Forward Path Indication that shows exactly where your trailer is headed. There are new wheel options, including a massive 24-inch unit, the largest ever mounted to a Tahoe.

Big Space

If there’s only one reason to love the Tahoe, it’d be the space. The vehicle boasts enough space for eight (or nine if you opt for the front bench seat) without anyone having to draw the short straw for legroom.

The second-row seats even slide forward and back to give you the flexibility to fit adults comfortably in the third row. With all the seats up, the Tahoe can fit six carry-on suitcases. Fold them down and the space balloons to an enormous 123 cubic feet.

Big Power

Most variants of the Tahoe come with either a 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 or a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8. The previously mentioned diesel engine can be ordered in every trim. Switching to towing, the Tahoe can pull a maximum of 8400 pounds, putting it on par with some full-size pickups. However, to hit that top number, you’ll need the Tahoe equipped with rear-wheel drive and the 5.3-liter V8.

Going for the 6.2-liter V8 drops that figure slightly to 8,300 pounds. The diesel engine, on the other hand, gives you a little less pulling power at 8,200 pounds, but it makes up for it by being the most fuel-efficient option. It’s rated at 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, while the others get around 15 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.
