3 Signs Your Chevy May Need General Servicing

Regular servicing and maintenance increase your Chevy's life and help it retain value. It also saves you money by reducing future repair costs, since replacing older fluids and worn parts prevents them from causing potentially costly damage. As your Chevy dealership, we want you to know some signs you need to visit us for general servicing. 3 Signs You Need To Visit Your Chevy Dealership for General Servicing Illuminated Dashboard Warning Lights Your dashboard warning lights automatically light up when your engine starts and should then switch off. If one of your dashboard lights remains lit, something is wrong and needs to be checked. Your Chevy contains a wide network of sensors, and their job is to monitor your vehicle's most important systems and components. The sensors continually report the status and health of their connected component to your computer. Each sensor is very sensitive and can detect the tiniest change in a component. If a sensor identifies an issue, it instantly warns your computer. If your computer can't correct the situation, it lights up the relevant warning light. We'll find the cause of the trouble and repair it, and the warning light will go out. Starting Problems When you push the start button, your Chevy engine should come to life within seconds. The three main components needed to start your vehicle are the battery, starter, and alternator. The battery provides the initial electrical charge that powers the starter, which, in turn, cranks the engine to begin the combustion process. The alternator ensures the battery is fully charged to power the starter. In time, these components can wear out due to age or become damaged, and starting will become difficult. In addition, worn or damaged wiring will reduce the amount of electricity transmitted, even if all three components work correctly. The battery warning light will illuminate to tell you something is wrong. Our technicians will investigate and fix the problem. Fluid Leaks Leaking fluid is always a sign of trouble. Your Chevy contains many different fluids that help to keep it working efficiently and safely. Some fluids, like engine oil, reduce damage to components, while others, like power steering fluid, make turning the wheel faster and less labor-intensive, so you can react quicker if needed. The various fluids can be distinguished by their color. Coolant is available in bright colors like pink, orange, blue, and green, while engine oil varies from amber to brown to black, depending on age and condition. If you spot any leaking fluid, contact our service department ASAP so our skilled technicians can find and fix the leak. Visit Dean Arbour Chevrolet in East Tawas, MI 1859 N. 2025 Chevy Tahoe

A Closer Look at the 2025 Chevy Tahoe: Redefining Innovation on Every Road

No one builds big SUVs like America, and the 2025 Chevy Tahoe is proof of that. There's little this big guy won't take on. Family road trips? Easy. Boat to the lake? Hook it up. Half the soccer team and their gear? Toss everyone and everything in because there's room to spare and power to match. A Closer Look at the 2025 Chevy Tahoe Big Changes All six trims of the Tahoe receive a light styling refresh, new lighting, and a revamped dashboard featuring a now-standard 17.7-inch infotainment display and an 11-inch digital gauge cluster. The V8 engine offerings from last year stick around, but the diesel inline-six gets a bump, now putting out 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. That's 38 more horses and 35 extra pound-feet, which you'll definitely feel when you're towing or climbing up a hill. Chevy has made the center console more functional, given the steering wheel a fresher look, and even re-tuned the suspension for on-road comfort. On top of that, they've packed several new towing aids, like Trailer Tire Health to help prevent blowouts, load rating info right in the app, and Forward Path Indication that shows exactly where your trailer is headed. There are new wheel options, including a massive 24-inch unit, the largest ever mounted to a Tahoe. Feature 2025 Chevy Tahoe Starting MSRP Estimated around $58,000 (varies by trim) Seating Capacity Up to 9 passengers Max Cargo Space 123 cubic feet Towing Capacity Up to 8,400 lbs Engine Options 5.3L V8 (355 hp), 6.2L V8 (420 hp), 3.0L Turbo-Diesel (305 hp / 495 lb-ft torque) Fuel Economy (Best) Up to 28 MPG highway (Diesel) Infotainment Display Standard 17.7-inch touchscreen Gauge Cluster Standard 11-inch digital display New Tech Features Trailer Tire Health, Load Rating Info, Forward Path Indication Ride Comfort Re-tuned suspension and improved interior layout Wheel Options Up to 24-inch wheels (largest ever on Tahoe) Big Space If there's only one reason to love the Tahoe, it'd be the space. The vehicle boasts enough space for eight (or nine if you opt for the front bench seat) without anyone having to draw the short straw for legroom. The second-row seats even slide forward and back to give you the flexibility to fit adults comfortably in the third row. With all the seats up, the Tahoe can fit six carry-on suitcases. Fold them down and the space balloons to an enormous 123 cubic feet. Big Power Most variants of the Tahoe come with either a 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 or a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8. The previously mentioned diesel engine can be ordered in every trim. Switching to towing, the Tahoe can pull a maximum of 8400 pounds, putting it on par with some full-size pickups. However, to hit that top number, you'll need the Tahoe equipped with rear-wheel drive and the 5.3-liter V8. Going for the 6.2-liter V8 drops that figure slightly to 8,300 pounds. The diesel engine, on the other hand, gives you a little less pulling power at 8,200 pounds, but it makes up for it by being the most fuel-efficient option. It's rated at 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, while the others get around 15 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. Why compromise when you can have it all with the 2025 Tahoe?
